I’ve never understood the insane cults Blizzard manages to create, and I doubt I ever will. Maybe it’s a lack of playing their games as a kid, but instead trying them out years later…and finding them good, but nothing extraordinary. It’s similar to Apple, to me. Good products (with the majorly awful exceptions of iTunes and Quicktime), but nothing that quite deserves the fanaticism of the cults that follow the companies.

Also, Pete, we need to get you a hyperbole alert alarm of some kind. And as far as Minecraft goes…well, you just have to try it. In the upcoming PC update (Minecraft 1.3) they are adding both tutorials and a demo mode to the game (as well as an insane amount of other additions that continue to make the game more of a game with a focus than a pure sandbox), and you could always try the Minecraft 360 edition demo (Which is equivalent to Beta 1.6, and will soon be updated to 1.7.3 to add pistons, and then 1.8.1 to add the beginnings of the stuff that helped turn Minecraft from a pure sandbox into more of an actual game).
