Ok, so the VGAs were basically the Samuel Jackson Variety Hour, but the highlight for me was a trailer for Dark Souls 2!! Totally unexpected.

Well, that and the giant inflatable phoenix that looked an awful lot like a penis during Tenacious D’s end of show performance.

But anyway, DARK SOULS 2!!!!

I was super jazzed for Dark Souls 2 being announced. Then I read the Edge Online posting that gave blurbs from the interview with the games two new directors.

One of the quotes was “we are more direct” and “why shouldn’t it be accessible?” It’s way too early to cast judgement, and the quotes are probably taken out of context, but we’ll see.

I’m still cautiously optimistic and excited to hear more concrete details.
