I’m ready to start another fight after finishing the last one. Unless the Flood show up, because then I’d be continuing the fight I didn’t quite finish last time. Seriously, the Flood had better be dead. Big, blob Gravemind was a terrible character. Remember that time his tentacle tried to grab your drop ship, but it just loosely slapped it and let you go? Because Hive Minds are always more creepy and intimidating once they have a megalomaniac, singular voice that taunts you continuously about the plans it’s about to do. Aaron PhokalQuote

Addendum: The exception is Picard (temporarily). And if Master Chief gets Flooded, then that would be pretty intimidating and interesting. Not that that’s going to happen. And not the Arbiter. That would not be an intimidating character. Aaron PhokalQuote

No flood, except in the multiplayer mode “Flood” which is apparently a more fleshed out version of “Infection”, the old zombie multiplayer mode. Ben DanielsQuote

YES! I loved Infection mode (but perhaps I’m a little biased since I really enjoy using the energy sword). Also, yay for no Flood! I absolutely hated those levels when playing co-op with David. Maria HughesQuote

OK. After a few hours into both campaign and multiplayer, the good Halo 4 is the “greatest hits” from the previous games. The bad Halo 4 is everything else. Obviously there’s a lot more work I need to do, but so far it’s weakest game in the series (by a considerable margin) in my book. David HughesQuote

I like Tom Chick and generally agree with him most of the time. I haven’t read any Halo 4 reviews but felt I had to read his after all the hubbub. I don’t get where he comes from, but I just as equally don’t get the 9/10′s (so far). David HughesQuote

Super impressed with how perfect Heroic difficulty feels currently. Love the fact that ammo management is a significant thing, and that if I screw up, the game will make me pay but not necessarily instakill me. While this may be a Halo-ass-Halo game, it’s a really awesome Halo game. This combat is just loverly. Jim HunterQuote

The more I play the campaign, the more I generally think the Prometheans are pretty generic, uninspired baddies. Then again, I refer to the Covenant as “muppets”. KILLZONE STILL HAS THE BEST SPACE VILLAINS EVAR!!!!!!!!!!!@@@!!! Ben DanielsQuote

ODST is still my favorite Halo game by quite a bit. I wouldn’t say the opinion is invalid. JeremyQuote

I just feel like ODST often gets roped in with Halo 2 as the “weakest” Halo games, which has never made any sense to me. I want to see more shooters do stuff like that. David HughesQuote

I think the only reason people dock points on ODST is that it didn’t really have much for multiplayer. As far as Halo 4 campaign goes, while it really didn’t do a whole lot of new stuff with the gameplay, I found the storytelling to be much, much better. It may be a bit too dense on lore not covered in older games, but I got by with only a little knowledge. I think I still prefer Reach’s campaign, but Halo 4 is either 2nd or 3rd. AndyQuote

If anyone’s still playing… I found this pretty useful for picking your next specialization after level 50. ChristianQuote
