Jim Hunter

We heard that two man podcasts are all the rage these days, so Jim and Todd gave it a shot this week talkin’ mess about Jessica Schillbot (amirite) and some concerns over Mass Effect 3. Todd already talked about His Shape Fitness last week, so instead he goes on and on about something with an X and a few III’s, then the numeral 2. Then, Todd decides to call it and say Jim with have a Vita by May… with varying results.

Hey guys, as far as I’m aware Infinite was never given an official release date other than “2012″ so it wasn’t pushed or delayed, the dates retailers gave were all placeholders.

Re: ME3 I’m excited about this game in spite of myself. I loved ME1 and ME2 a whole bunch, but I’ve suspected since the end of ME2 that ME3 wouldn’t be as good, and that it would focus on the wrong aspects of the game. The intervening time has made my thoughts change a bit. I now think that the game isn’t going to be very good irregardless of and potential story issues. I hope I’m wrong, but I’ve had just a bad feeling about that game, even though I’ve been on media blackout for it…STILL excited nevertheless…can’t help it…

Re: mobile gaming: I’ve never really been one for mobile gaming. The last handheld device I owned was the GameBoy Color. I just generally don’t have the want to play a game on a small device like that, and I have zero time in which to do so. I drive to work, I drive to school, I have no breaks in between classes, I drive back home, and then I have my PC or my 360. No commute, no downtime where I don’t have my laptop with me.
I also have low tolerance for touch screens…not touch controls, touch ~screens~. They rarely work well for me, they don’t feel right, they’re sluggish, and just in general it isn’t something I enjoy using as an input device.

I know about the awesomeness that was Short Attention Gamer! That was my favorite podcast back in the day.

Mass Effect 2 rubbed me the wrong way. I enjoyed and will probably pre-order the third game, but the first (despite the janky vehicle combat) is my favorite by far. BioWare is not a shooter company and shouldn’t try to be.

Jim, I get the whole “even” tone of Skyrim. Without ruining anything, the last handful of quests in the main storyline. . . OMFG. Just finished them tonight and wow. I don’t want to build up your expectations, but it’s a lot of fun. In fact, I might even just let that character rest at that point. She’s done most of the other quests already anyways.
