Fall Damage: 135 – The Sweet Nothings Show

15 July 2012 by Adam Bash

Listen, girl. This show is a sexytime feast for your mind, body, and soul. You know it’s ’bout to get all types of freaky up in this thing, and that’s just something you’re going to have to come to terms with.

The gang talks Limbo, Dark Souls, The Amazing Spider-Man, animal husbandry, and probably so many other things that we can’t remember in the afterglow.

I have to side more on Dan and Adam’s side on the minimap arguement. I think a HUD can be a crutch but so is a lot of video game conventions from the 90′s; health bars, ammo count, skill tabs; you can, in theory, replace these with things that are “natural” to the game. So does that mean all of these should be removed just so all games can have a “naturally immersive” experience? What about Zelda? Should Zelda dump its HUD with Hearts, Items, Weapon, etc?

Also, thanks for the plug. ^_^

I would have to say that like every element of a game, the minimap is something that can be made perfect and work, or it can just be stupid and in the way.
But its one of those things, where developers just take the copy-paste approach and dont think much about it…

Did Pete tell what he thought about Silent Hill downpour ?, I know he talked a little about the beginning …. but did i miss something, im just interested in the game, so crew give me your thoughts ;-) Nikki did not like is, but i also would love to know what Pete, Dan things about is …. And just to piss of people, im just interested in this one, nit the older ones….not even Silent Hill 2 … :-)

Last, im going to miss you – but yeah, its good to take a break, find new inspiration, and come back stronger ;-)
