Rocket Jump: 060 – Certificate of Authenticity

9 August 2012 by Jim Hunter

Here on Rocket Jump, we love a good strategy game, and that’s why we spend way too long talking about Civ V this week, then branch off into some talk about Fieldrunners and Outwitters. Finally we wrap things up by discussing Sound Shapes and the magic of commemorative plates

God Show as always, and we learned a lot to day about Civ, Fieldrunners, and Outwitters.

Man, I know darksiders 2 look awesome, and has a lot of cool features, specific the loot aspect ;-) but Heay remember that other game that also hits the street that week…SLEEPING DOGS Yeaaaaah !

Jim @, Im calling you out !! – If you ever invade my place, we can go a few round, do it Mano-a-mano, Yes there is something rotten in the state of Denmark, but maybe your Civ-5-domination-plans has been revealed , , and Denmark is not going to play nice.

I can’t remember who was talking about playing Dark Souls in Sen’s Fortress, but as a FYI, the lizard guys are much easier when you backstab them. In case you haven’t got backstabbing down, here is a good video on how to get the technique down.

Also, once you get backstabbing down, the Hornet Ring may become one of your favorite rings as it doubles the damage from backstabs and parries:

Hey Dan,

That was me, and yep, I backstabbed the hell out of them. Beat Sen’s and I’m halfway through Anor Londo now. The lizard warriors didn’t give me much trouble. It was the mages knocking me off platforms with their lightning, but I grabbed a bunch of flaming arrows and headed back there which made short work of them along with soul arrow.

That area was one of the most technically frustrating areas for me. I\’d get ALMOST to the second bonfire and get knocked off a ledge or shocked with lightning. What a feeling of accomplishment when i finally did though!

So angry Jim!

Outwitters sounds cool. iOS games never seem to hold my interest for very long but I’ll probably check it out.
